Disciplining Kids

As a father of two, coach, and youth pastor over 10 years, I’ve learned to keep it simple and consistent. Think W.C.

Threats without follow through=nothing

Hey Johnny, if you keep doing that you will sit out for 5 minutes. Johnny does it anyway. Ok Johnny, you need to sit out now. If you do it again, you will sit out 30 minutes.

Disciplining kids is for their good and should be done with love and respect. As adults we need to stay on top of things, keep our cool, and lovingly serve our kids for their good, our peace of mind, all who will work with our kids in the future, and to model a loving way so kids can reproduce the process in the future.
